- Early and late shift in 82 companies in Chemnitz, Zwickau, Erzgebirge
- Exhibition "looking forward" brings many national artists to Chemnitz
- RAW meets Urban Art - The festival combines art and industrial culture in knitted construction with gripping live events
- C-Town 360° - The Chemnitz Innovation Show goes into its second round

The Days of Industrial Culture celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2019 and offer exciting highlights for all age groups. "We are delighted that this year a record 82 companies are offering exclusive insights into the everyday working world of today during the early and late shift in Chemnitz, Zwickau, the Erzgebirge and the Chemnitz cultural region", says Sören Uhle, Managing Director of the Chemnitzer Wirtschaftsförderungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, which organises the Days of Industrial Culture. As an event location, this year's Days of Industrial Culture will open Hall D in the industrial complex of the former Schubert & Salzer Maschinenfabrik, which is now known as Wirkbau. It was once regarded as the largest German factory for textile machinery and thus had a decisive influence on Chemnitz's industrial culture. Here the exhibition "looking forward" unites a multitude of works of art by national artists. Under the motto "RAW meets Urban Art", the festival is also dedicated to art in its anniversary year and with the Paint Club Battle League has a gripping live event in warp knitting on its programme. The second convention of C-Town 360° will bring the days of industrial culture in knitted construction to a close.

Early and late shift, Friday, 27.9.2019, Chemnitz, Zwickau, Erzgebirge

Traditionally, the 10th Days of Industrial Culture also begin with the early shift in companies for kindergarten and primary school children. Even the youngest children are introduced to technical topics and professions in a playful way. In the evening, the popular late shift is exciting for adults. During factory tours, visitors can take a look behind the scenes and talk to employees. Many companies also offer a varied supporting program, culinary offerings and interesting information about vocational training and current job vacancies.
