Hefty Support for Chemnitz

Two 18.5t Tatra trams have been set up in front of Stadthalle Chemnitz to inform the public about the city’s application to become European Capital of Culture in 2025 and to garner support for the ambitious project.

After 50 years of reliable service in the city’s public transport system, the trams are now used as eye-catchers to draw in passers-by. Members of the application team will answer questions, gather ideas for city development and present the multitude of side-projects that accompany the bid to become European Capital of Culture.
